There is no meaningful sense whatsoever that they are trying to avoid civilian deaths. More than\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.aljazeera.com\/news\/liveblog\/2023\/11\/6\/israel-hamas-live-news-communications-blackout-across-gaza\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">9,900 people<\/a>\u00a0in Gaza have been killed, including more than 4,800 children.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">\u03a9\u00a0\u03a9\u00a0\u03a9<\/p>\n<p>On November 2, seven UN Special Rapporteurs\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.aljazeera.com\/news\/2023\/11\/2\/un-experts-demand-ceasefire-warn-gaza-is-running-out-of\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">said<\/a>\u00a0they \u201cremain convinced that the Palestinian people are at grave risk of genocide\u201d. This followed the resignation of\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.aljazeera.com\/news\/2023\/11\/2\/qa-former-un-official-craig-mokhiber-on-gaza-and-genocide\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Craig Mokhiber<\/a>, the Director of the UN\u2019s office in New York, who characterised the horrors in Gaza as a \u201ctextbook case of genocide\u201d aimed toward \u201cthe expedited destruction of the last remnants of indigenous life in Palestine\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>In his resignation letter, he referenced the \u201cwholesale slaughter of the Palestinian people\u2026based entirely upon their status as Arabs\u201d, as well as the continuing seizure of homes in the West Bank.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Jeremy Corbyn: The Israeli army has dropped 25,000 tonnes of bombs onto a tiny strip of land, populated by 2.3 million people.
